I am going to attempt to keep bees in the spring for the first time. I am trying to relate this desire to the rest of my life and find an answer for why this is tugging at me. There is the whole homesteader, independent, self sufficiency element that I am moving more towards in many aspects of my life, but there is also the social aspect of the colony and the singular goal that they all work towards. It is a beautiful simplicity that yields some amazing results. I am also looking forward to how this will help to enhance the garden growth. I am going to try to write about all of this as the weather gets warmer and these things come about.
